Salut. The name is Ivy. She gets a year older every 18th November. Butterflies aren't really on her List of Nice Things. She loves her BFFs and TENNIS :D. Okay, and she doesn't know what else to say so she will stop here.

XueJie. Pamela. Mr Jega. LingLing. HuiWen. Ivy.

VAANAVIL 2009 - JJC
Ohmytians. Last night was A BLAST. :D
The performances were great, the people were really nice, and yes, I'm sure sure we were quite entertained throughout; be it by ourselves or watching others. I think our school did pretty well! Well, judging from the finale and the feedback that Mr Jega said was really positive. He told us (chinese ushers) that the GOH even mentioned the three chinese girls who could pronounce 'Vanakam' accurately (LOL) and some stood to applaud.

Yet, we missed it, because we were probably pigging out on Indian snacks at the moment he said it. Oh, and there was some commotion too, a little boy got stuck in the female toilet cubicle and couldn't get out. Haha! Poor thing.

Wen, xua and I snooped around school, walking from the PE porch to LT2, and then to the stairway nears Ops Room to LT5, then went out again to outside the library to stand by for food. Golly, only the three of us were there at the library, and we got so bored we entertained ourselves. E.g. Dancing can-can and attempting tap-dancing; spinning round and round in heels and a saree; flinging the long fabric over the shoulder and swinging it in midair.

Oh, and but of course, taking LOADS of pictures with my camera phone :D
Hehs. Not exactly spooky; I figured it's because we were having so much fun.

Ushering was cool too! We got compliments from guests just because we were chinese!

"Oh, are you chinese?"
"Yeap!"
"Ahh, you look sweet in a saree!"
"Thank you! (:"

"ARE YOU CHINESE?"
"Why, yes!"
"DID THE INDIANS FORCE YOU TO WEAR THIS?!"
"Uhh, no.."
"OH. I think Chinese and Indian girls looks great in sarees! (:"
"Thank you!"

"Vanakam, this way please.."
"#$%^&..cute girls in sarees..@#$%^&"
"..."

IT WAS DAMN FUNNY. From where I stood, Ling sat when she was tired, and stood when someone was coming. When the person left my station, she sat down again. LOL.

Then GOH came and walked by, beaming and all, yadah yadah yadah. :D

And standing for 2 hours straight. Achievement.
Xua was lucky; she had the water-cooler beside her. I was lucky too, since I get to run there and talk to her. Oh boy, the look on her face was classic when I hoisted the front of my costume up and ran in my white patent heels to where she was just to get a drink, for fear that guests would just enter while I was away from my station.

And we stayed til 11.45pm? To take pictures as a whole group, clear up, and all. Thank goodness I made it for the last 157 home; didn't dare to walk to the 174 stop alone from the front gate; it was near midnight.

Oh, and we went early (Wen and I) to study, and make a card for Xuejie. In the end, we only ate bread, read a bit of notes, went to watch soccer, help aravind with the ICS food packing, and went off to meet Xuejie and put on the sarees. LOL.

Tube top + Tights + Tennis muscles = DAMNN FAT.

We wore our shirts over our tubes, and kept pulling at the tubes; SB minus S without DAI is damn insecure okay. HAHA. But it turned out okay. And putting on the saree was another problem. Aarthi, I think helped me the first time round, but Jegan said it was wrong so he helped me redo the whole thing.

"EH! What are you wearing?!"
"..??"
"Wear saree cannot wear flipflops! Take out take out!"

Omg, his face was damn funny the three of us won't stop laughing.

"You CHINESE people huh, like to use one finger only. Later complain not enough fingers, like THAT ONE over there!" *points to Ling*
That was when he was folding the pleats of the saree and asked me to hold it while he folded. LOL. Apparently, Ling did the same thing. Hahas.

Oh dear, we only get to wear this thing once! Damn sad lahs! D:
But ling said we could wear it out on racial harmony day. (Pam's B-day if I'm not wrong)
And Wen said we could wear to Little India on Deepavali.

HEHS. Overall, FUN FUN FUN! (: FOOD WAS AWESOME TOO.
Okay, now for pictures, I shall caption tmr or smth.

THE CARD. (:
(ALL ABOUT FOOD)

If only she opened her eyes, and if only all three of us are captured properly! ):

Xuejie's Birthday (BELATED) present: The Red Saree.
So rich right the colour! :D

I like this shot! :D Outside Library.
Tryna Be Mysterious~

Fulllengths.
Xuejie tends to take super bad photos, almost half of them with me with my eyes closed.
Huiwen looks like a stewardess.

Cam-whoring in the toilets.

Shoes or no shoes.
The rest are up on Facebook; or so I guess.
